Selected work / Virtual Staging

Furnishing empty rooms, step by step.

A virtual staging application that furnishes and styles empty interiors through a step-by-step workflow. It is built around the way we work, rather than a general-purpose tool.

The room's architecture, camera and light are kept as shot. What the workflow changes is the furnishing — the pieces, their placement and the styling — one controllable step at a time.

The technical problem

Placing furniture in a room is straightforward — a general model can do it. But a general model returns the average of every interior it has seen: a statistical composite rather than a specific choice. The output is usually plausible, and usually generic.

The difficult part is control — a specific piece, in a specific position, styled to a specific degree. It is difficult because the process is stochastic: each generated image becomes the input to the next step, so small changes propagate and the room drifts. Holding the room fixed while changing only what should change is the problem this tool is built to handle.

Inside the app

The workflow, step by step.

The pipeline playing through itself — brief, furniture, styling, and the final look.

Step 1 / 4 · Brief

The brief

Three points of control

Selection, placement, styling.

Because each step's output feeds the next, the room tends to drift. Three decisions are kept explicit and fixed, rather than left to the model to average out.

Each example below changes one of them while the room, its light and its perspective stay constant.

Living room, warm selection
01 · Selection

Which furniture.

The same room with two different furniture selections. The selection is specified, not inferred from an average.

Furniture placement
02 · Placement

Where it sits.

The same pieces moved to set positions. The architecture, perspective and light stay constant across each.

Styling density
03 · Styling

How far it's styled.

Styling density from bare structure to fully dressed — rug, centrepiece, greenery — set explicitly rather than guessed.

MinimalFull
Now: Minimal — bare structure

The difference isn't generating an image — it's controlling which image you get.

Built around one staging workflow, from brief to final look. Different work has a different shape, and can be built to fit it.
